sub 10 target

i have always dreamed about it, and it is time for it to become a reality. it had always been an “end of the year” target and i am going to do my best’est to get it done. i want carbo sub 10kg by the end of the year.

to achieve it is simple but it won’t be easy. there are some quick easy wins, some not so quick and down right expensive ones but i do think it is possible by 2010. with the decision to move up a grade i will need every little helping hand i can generate to increase my pace.

the best thing of all is i have a really solid base with carbo. the last official weigh in was 10.9 so a 1,000 grams seems harsh but a lot of stock items remain on him. a few simple things like seat post clamp, skewers, cranks, possibly rotors etc. will be a great start. the rest will be a little more challenging financially.

the big one is wheels. i am going on a mission now to find a set of wheels that are under 1,600 grams. along with the other few stock items removed it will be very close to 10kg.

side note:
you may also notice the blog kicking it up a notch design wise. it is about time. i am a designer after all and i need to invest some time into the posts. i hate seeing straight copy entries. they suck!
