Garmin – Edge 500

this year for xmas i asked for cash donations. i initially had vision of me rolling down the M4 kitted up in rapha or solo bibs with the money. i am so in need of another pair of nicks or bibs to ride in but in complete mwg style at the last moment i changed my mind an brought a garmin edge 500. i really badly wanted one and this is probably more value at this point than bibs.

this little beast is tiny and can do anything you want it to do. for an extra $50 a HRM can be attached, another $50 and cadence is counted for + it can sync with ANT+ products like a saris cyclops power meter.

it then syncs up with garmin connect so you can upload all the stats etc. it is almost the same as the nokia N95 but obviously a lot better as it is designed specifically for cycling. it comes with two mounts so it is a straight no brainer to run it on both bikes with complete ease.

looking forward to the help this will give me in training, and with my birthday in about two weeks – i’m hoping to get the extra accessories.
