i can ride 85km for 3hrs+ on tires that are so old they are seriously fraying all around the edging as well as holes with tubes bulging out of the side wall over freeways with wood / tire / rock / building material / chairs / glass and not get a flat.
but i don’t seem to be able to ride just 10km to the station on a set of tires that are kevlar beaded and cost around $50 bucks a rim. FFS.
