Atom Goes to Next Level

It took some time for me to get my act together and sort out all the bits for churchy to build the new set of wheels for Atom but the wait has been totally worth it. Rolling now on Hope 2 Evo hubs laced to Velocity Blunt SS’s. I took it out for a spin on Saturday afternoon then again on Sunday for a cruise around with James, Churchy and Mathieu.

Atom rode well, really well and now wrapped in Ardent 2.4’s it is a very different bike. No doubt it is a heavier build set but worth it once the set up is complete and able to run 25psi front and rear for super grip. I have had a bit of a issue with the tubeless taking a bit longer than expected to take but it all seems ok now after a few days of work.

Next weekend is the Rockytrail AMB 100. Last year I placed 2nd in SS so this year I am hoping to at least match the effort with a podium. I can’t wait

Small details like one single red nipple opposite the valve

massive rubber at both ends. Maxxis Ardent 2.4’s with gum walls on some really nice Velocity Blunt SS rims.
