not looking to treat carbo like this if i can help it.

this weekend WSMTB RND 5 is at blue gum lodge.
i haven’t ever ridden there but from all reports its a short track that is technical. the debate is still out about what class to run. Scotta was on my case even during the careflight about moving up a grade but i am still hesitant. i would like to at least place in C Grade before moving up.
after the efforts of last weekend it is pretty obvious i need to improve on my technical skills. with the careflight really being a few smallish climbs with many long flowing straight i have the endurance and stamina to last the distance, i just need to focus on being more consistent through the technical section and holding race pace.

i am really looking forward to the race. the track seems exciting and i up for the challenge of a new trail. i did some research and these are a few of the images i found from blue gum.

unfortunately there won’t be a hit out at all the day before hand so it is looking very much like i will ride to the race and then back home – again as a warm up.

Nice :) I love those privtae courses…..the same happened here at the Hanmer 12hr. They opened a walking track up just for that day and it ROCKED. October should be fun…..if not a tad warm :)
